Soledad police said that five men were arrested after an armed robbery on Saturday night. Police said on a social media post that gang members Paul Olivas, 44, Robert Santa Ana, 23, Carlos Cruz, 22, and Jonathan Salinas, 18, committed an armed robbery in the area of Monterey and First streets. They were all allegedly seen going into Oliva's residence on First Street after the robbery. The house was surrounded by the Greenfield Police Department, King City Police Department, Monterey County Sheriff's Office and the California Highway Patrol and the occupants were safely removed. The four suspects were positively identified by the victim as the men involved in the armed robbery, per police. A search warrant was issued for Oliva's home, and the stolen property was found, said police, along with five handguns, one rifle, two pounds of methamphetamines and one pound of heroin.The narcotics were found near a baby in the home. This resulted in the arrest of Amelie Peguero, 20, said police. All five were booked into Monterey County Jail for robbery, weapons, narcotics and child endangerment charges.
