PeopleSoft Access
Access to PeopleSoft is managed through DO.
The ARC IT Department is not directly involved in providing access to PeopleSoft.
Access to PeopleSoft can be started by submitting a request through the Security Access Request System (SAS).
Note: The form is only available on campus or through a GP session.
Choose New Request under Security Access Request System (SAS) section.

Canvas support is managed locally by the ITC Coordinators.

Virtual Private Network (VPN)
A virtual private network (VPN) is a service that makes your internet connection more secure. The GlobalProtect solution is an application that is installed on a computer in order to allow users to securely access college/district computers and/or networks via the internet.
Note: Installing GlobalProtect does not provide you with VPN remote access. To obtain VPN access, an administrator (supervisor, dean, or other administrator) must enter a request using the Remote Access Request (VPN) tile in Service Central.

To provide optimal performance for all VPN users, please disconnect your VPN session when not using VPN.
Use the Skype for Business application directly from your current workstation (not the VPN window) to prevent audio/microphone issues.
EMAIL - NEW USER ACCOUNTS
Employee accounts are created automatically once paperwork has been processed through Human Resources. Email accounts for Faculty, Permanent/Temporary Classified employees and Student employees will automatically be created as their paperwork is processed through HR.

HOW TO REPORT EMAIL PHISH ALERT - NEW PHISH ALERT TOOL
To help make reporting suspected phishing emails to IT easy, a new Microsoft Outlook plug-in for computers on campus, Phish Alert, has been made available to Los Rios employees.

WHEN DO I USE PHISH ALERT?
Click the Phish Alert Button whenever you receive a suspected phishing email.
Upon clicking the Phish Alert Button a prompt will ask if you want to report the email as a phishing email. Click on “Phish Alert” to report the message. The email will then be deleted from your inbox and forwarded to our IT Security Team for analysis.
By using the Phish Alert Button, you will help keep our organization safe and defend against cyber-attacks.
WHERE DO I FIND PHISH ALERT?
The location of the Phish Alert Button varies depending on the version of Outlook you’re using:
If the Phish Alert Button is not visible, please close and reopen Outlook.
Zoom
The district office manages all Zoom requests and troubleshooting. Zoom access is not automatic – you must request access through Service Central.
As soon as you have access to Zoom, you can log in to Zoom online.
