Trader Joe's is correct. The business name is possessive of a trading business owned by Joe. They are his samples. That makes them Joe's samples.
I disagree. The store name is Trader Joe's, already possessive. I would say the following:
I am going to Jewel in an hour. I hope Jewel's parking lot is not crowded.
I am going to Aldi in two hours. I hope Aldi's parking lot has been plowed.
I am going to Trader Joe's in three hours. I hope Trader Joe's shopping carts are not covered in ice.
The shopping carts are not owned by Joe; they are owned by Trader Joe's. I think it's just redundant, so I abandon the extra possessive, but I wish I could find a rule for this. My CMS doesn't say. Garner's Modern Usage, i.e., my Bible, is at my office.
