The reveal leads to plenty of personal and professional drama as they are tasked with saving the world while trying to salvage their personal relationship.
Speaking to Tudum in June 2023, creator Nick Santora described the next installment as "bananas."
"We’re coming up with some real fun surprises for FUBAR fans in Season 2, for sure," he continued, with Schwarzenegger adding, “It is bigger, it is better. There are more laughs. There is more of everything ... including one more legend!”
The "legend" he was referring to was Carrie-Anne Moss, who joined the new episodes as Greta Nelso, a spy who has a romantic history with Luke.
So what happened at the end of FUBAR season 2? Here's what went down in the twisty, surprise-filled finale, including whether Luke retires from the CIA and if Greta survives to spy another day.

In FUBAR season 2, Luke's team saved the world and avoided the start of a nuclear war.
The last episode of the installment is appropriately titled "Let's Twist Again" since it is full of surprises for Luke's team, both personally and professionally.
Not only are there developments for Luke's family in the season 2 finale, but also for his teammates. Fellow agent, Roo Russell (Fortune Feimster), gets a promotion and is named the new regional CIA director after she bravely tried to stop the nuclear missile from launching.

Throughout season 2, Dante Cress is the mysterious foe who is intent on plunging the U.S. into darkness by taking out the power grid and starting a nuclear war with Russia.
In the season 2 finale, MI6 agent Theodore Chips (Guy Burnet) admits to Luke and the team that he has been Dante Cress all along, giving orders to Eastern German spy Greta (Moss).
While explaining his reasoning for wanting to destroy humanity, Chips reveals that his father was also an agent who tried to kill him. Ultimately, Chips was forced to kill his dad in self-defense.
His father's actions left him disillusioned, and in a villainous monologue, he tells Emma how he wants to blow everything up because "the world is a cesspool, you need someone to shake the Etch A Sketch."
Amid his confession, Chips comes forward with his romantic feelings toward Emma. After his true identity is unmasked, Chips asks Emma to repopulate the world with him, but she tells him she would "rather die."
Chips then escapes, and Emma chases him down the levels of the silo, eventually trapping him by the missile rocket. When the rocket launches, the blast incinerates him, prompting Roo to jokingly call him "Barbecue Chips."
Does Greta die?

No, Greta does not die at the end of FUBAR season 2.
In order to deneutralize the missile, Greta sacrifices herself, and climbs aboard as it launches into the air. She successfully stops the rocket from leaving U.S. airspace, and thereby thwarts Chips plans for a worldwide nuclear war.
Luke and Emma later visit the Utah site where Greta's pod crash landed. Emma calls back to the CIA and confirms that Greta did not survive — but after she hangs up, it is revealed that Emma lied, and Greta is alive. As it turns out, Greta sprayed the inside of the pod with impact-absorbing foam, which helped her survive the fall.
She tells Luke that despite "a few cracked ribs," she is "still standing." Greta then has an emotional goodbye with Luke, knowing that he is still in love with Tally (Fabiana Udenio), his ex-wife.
Although Greta does not die, she tells Luke, "I think this is the end of Greta Nelso, the spy."
Does Luke retire from the CIA?

Yes, after saving the world from nuclear annihilation, Luke announces he is retiring from the CIA.
He tells the team that the plan for his post-spy life is to take a sailing adventure around the world with Tally. Luke is looking forward to quiet days ahead, but he has almost retired before, so it remains to be seen if he goes through with it this time.
Do Luke and Tally get back together?

Yes, Luke and Tally get back together at the end of FUBAR season 2, but their relationship problems were actually a ploy all along.
Luke and Tally were previously married and are now a couple again. For the sake of Luke's latest mission, they pretended to break up so Greta, who is in love with Luke, could be persuaded to help the team, thinking she still had a chance to end up with him.
In the season 2 finale, Luke proposes to Tally, telling her, "I never stopped being in love with you, and I'm not going to mess it up this time."
Was Tina really a Russian Mole?

Yes, it was revealed that Tina (Aparna Brielle) was actually a Russian Mole, but in another twist, she turned out to be working as a double agent. Tina had provided Russia with false information, helping protect Luke and his team.
At the end of the season 2 finale, Tina's boyfriend Barry (Milan Carter) and Aldon (Travis Van Winkle) take Tina to Finland for a prisoner swap with the Great Dane (Adam Pally), a weapons expert who works with Luke's team.
After the trade, Barry and Aldon realize Tina is a double agent. They ask new CIA regional director Roo (Feimster) to travel to Russia to save Tina — setting up a rescue mission plot for a potential third season.
