Magic factor: A playful Texas rooftop with nightly “snowfall.”
We’re a sucker for snowfall and rooftops, and this event delivers both—along with the chance to celebrate a Texas-flavored holiday by floating down a heated, glowing lazy river in the shape of the state. The annual Texas Winter Lights takes place at the Marriott Marquis Houston’s Altitude Rooftop, although you don’t have to be a hotel guest to attend. At this Western-themed celebration, there will be 100,000 sparkling lights, line dancing under the stars, live country bands, dueling pianos and Texas-inspired bites like brisket and Totchos. This rooftop pulls out all the stops with a VR sleigh ride with Santa, curling, light-up checkers, igloos and cabins, holiday films, holiday cocktails (including one secret one off the menu), visits from the North Pole’s favorite fella and even… nightly snowfalls. Yes! Finally, the hotel’s restaurant will host a grinch-inspired brunch on December weekends.
Date: November 17 through December 31, 2025.
Price: Tickets start at $30 for adults and $20 for children ages 2–12; free for hotel guests.
