Conveniently located in the Chicago Loop, the Pendry occupies the 1929 Art Deco Carbide & Carbon building. While much of the exterior remains intact, the fully renovated interior has a refreshed, modern design. That style is on full display in Bar Pendry, a swanky, timelessly beautiful space with thick drapes, plush seating, and a fireplace. And that's the venue for the hotel’s popular , available on Sundays now through March from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The experience includes a sampler of three tea cocktails (however, if that doesn’t quench your thirst, you can purchase à la carte), plus a three-tiered tower of appetizers that will change seasonally—Autumn, Festive, and Winter. There is also live music featuring local musicians, making afternoon tea parties a little more lively. Are you into the spirit of the event, but not so much the boozy? Non-alcoholic options are available too.
