Megyn Kelly went live on her eponymous YouTube channel Wednesday to cover the shocking assassination attempt on Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk.
Having hosted the conservative pundit many times on her “The Megyn Kelly Show” podcast, the host was visibly emotional after her peer and colleague was apparently shot in the neck while speaking at Utah University. Reviewing footage circulating online of the incident, Kelly tearfully said, “It will be a miracle if Charlie survived.”

“I can barely get my arms around the enormity of this,” Kelly said. “There is video circulating online, which we are not going to show. And my only prayer is that it’s fake. I pray to God it’s fake what I saw, and there’s no way I’m showing it on this channel, on this feed.”
Kelly was due to kick off a national live tour of her SiriusXM show next month with Kirk as a featured guest at Virginia Tech.

Later in the segment, Kelly highlighted reports out of AP News that he is in “critical condition,” expressing gratitude that he appears to be alive. Glenn Beck, who later guested on the “Megyn Kelly Show” segment and whose 19-year-old daughter was at the Utah University event, also shared on X that he has sources close to Kirk who have confirmed to him that he “has a pulse.”

“Pray for healing and a miracle. Getting word that #charliekirk has been stabilized. I pray it is true,” Beck wrote. “If it is THAT IS A SECOND MIRACLE. 1. Trump. 2. Kirk. The hospital is taking blood now. Our God is a God of Miracles. In Jesus name.”
“If anybody has a chance, it’s Charlie. He’s strong,” Kelly added. “So maybe there is a chance, maybe he does come out of this.”
President Donald Trump, with whom Kirk ideologically aligns, was one of many other politicians and public figures who responded to the shooting on Wednesday.
“We must all pray for Charlie Kirk, who has been shot,” he shared on Truth Social. “A great guy from top to bottom. GOD BLESS HIM.”
