In 2002, Walmart acquired a 6.1% stake in Seiyu, and by 2005 had acquired a majority interest, making Seiyu a Walmart subsidiary. In 2007, we increased our ownership stake of Seiyu from 50.9% to 95.1%. After acquiring the remaining shares, Seiyu became a wholly owned subsidiary in 2008.
