29 August 2025 Employment remains unchanged in July 2025

Roughly 45.8 million persons resident in Germany were in employment in July 2025. According to provisional calculations of the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), the seasonally adjusted number of persons in employment therefore remained virtually unchanged (+4,000; 0.0%) compared with the previous month. In the months of May and June 2025, employment was down month on month by 17,000 and 19,000 persons, respectively.
