We knew it was coming

I agree with you on that and when the merger happened Claytor was an NW man so I can see that. Goode was also an NW man but then came Moorman who was true Southern and Squires well he’s a true lawyer yes so we’re Claytor and Goode but they were also RR men.

As for Roanoke your also correct but I would think being a north/south as well as a East / west route it could be used better

It would not surprise me to see south yard be gone next. That’s prime real estate and I know Va tech and the hospital would grab it up
