My all-time favorite. Second one is pretty good too. This is the first movie that I remember watching when I was between 2-3 years old. Family friend owned a little store and they had this movie as a rental. Any time we came over or they baby sat me I got to pick a movie to watch, and this was it. I get chillz still to this day watching the end with the chase.

Awesome MOVIE. Not about one actual horse but about families whose life depends on horses....big names are in this and everybody else did fantastic....not cheaply done and keeps you on your toes with horse action. There is a love story with an implied makeout scene between the two actors but no skin, just a kiss. I would not hesitate to let any teen to see. It does have some not so nice characters and a small fight scene, but is a romantic, accurate Australian movie that I can see. One of my favorites right along side Black Beauty and the the Black stallion.

I love this movie! I watched it the day before my birthday with my parents this year!! It was amazing! We even got to see it on a movie screen! I loved this sooooo much! And then I got to see the 2nd one! I loved it as well even though Spur wasn't in it, and in the end the horse died! :(

Not a full on horse movie but the end scene gets you every time. It is an old movie.
After the death of his father, proud young Jim Craig (Tom Burlinson) sets out to become his own man. Taking a job with horse rancher Harrison (Kirk Douglas), Craig is treated poorly by the more experienced cowboys, but wins the heart of the rancher's daughter, Jessica (Sigrid Thornton), when he helps her break a high-strung colt and later saves her life.
When he's unfairly blamed for the loss of an expensive horse, Craig fights to restore his honor and prove that he's worthy of Jessica's hand.

I have not watched this movie but many of my friends have and supposedly at one point. something eh immoral is hinted at so make sure to check with your parents first! Enjoy the movie!

This movie was the best! The best part was when Jim was chasing the brumbies. It was so awesome when he jumbed down that steep hill.I had to watch that again! The mem would not have caught any of the horses if it had not been for Jim and his mountain horse AWESOME!!!

THE MAN FROM SNOW RIVER...WOW what an inspiering movie! Jim and Jess, are LOVE BIRDS! And when Jim, Clancy and the others are chasing the Brumbies... and Jim goes down that steep hill...thats our fav part! And to all the Aussie Horse CRAAAAZY girlz out there, ur not a true Aussie if you haven't seen this movie.
